Netflix 吹き替え：The way I see it, if you never take detours you may never get to see the flowers.

上記二種類の字幕の英訳が全く同じという珍しい結果でした。単行本の英訳は字幕の訳よりもっと色がついていて私はこちらも好きですが、字幕の方がコンパクトにきっちりと意味をあらわしています。「回り道をする」の簡潔な言い方は “take/make detours （あるいはa detour)” で決まりという感じです。何かのプロジェクトの通訳で、「紆余曲折がありましたが、お蔭でこんな良いこともありました」というような発言がもしあったら、この英訳を応用して使えそうです。
